What are your laboratory's current areas of research in biology and cancer research?

Our laboratory focuses on the study of molecular mechanisms of cancer and how they can be targeted for the development of new therapies.

How does ethical philosophy relate to your work in the biological sciences?

Ethical philosophy helps us to reflect on the moral implications of our research, particularly with regard to the use of animal experimentation and the ethical issues involved in genomics.

Can you recommend any relevant philosophical readings to better understand ethical dilemmas in biomedical research?

Of course, I recommend reading "The Ethics of Science: An Introduction" by David B. Resnik and "The Cambridge Handbook of Human Dignity" edited by Marcus Düwell, Jens Braarvig and Roger Brownsword.

How do you reconcile your passion for jazz music with your career in science?

Jazz music is my personal passion, but it gives me the inspiration and balance I need to be creative in my scientific research.

Yes, there are studies on the effects of music on the brain and mental health, which may have implications for cancer research and patient well-being.
